Paulson Puerto Rico is pleased to announce the launch of the third edition of its renowned internship program, which this year will include the participation of six university students from academic institutions in Puerto Rico and the United States. Over the course of six weeks, these young professionals will be immersed in a transformative project that benefits the company while gaining valuable experience for their future careers.
Rolando Padua, President of Paulson Puerto Rico, expressed his pride in celebrating the third edition of the internship program: “We are very proud to see how our program continues to grow, both in the number of applicants and the impact it has within our company. Each year, we receive more applications, which reflects the interest and potential of our young professionals. This program is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the business world and to understand firsthand how a diversified and constantly evolving company like Paulson Puerto Rico operates. Additionally, as part of our commitment to the Kinesis Foundation, we have incorporated a permanent internship slot for one of their students starting this year. We’re proud to have two Kinesis students joining us this year, further reinforcing our commitment to supporting talented youth and providing them with new opportunities for professional growth.”
The six participating students are pursuing degrees in areas such as Public Relations, Advertising, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, and Management. They represent distinguished institutions including the University of Southern California, The George Washington University, University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School), Interamerican University of Bayamón, and Bryant University.
This year, Marian Juliette Medina, Corporate Communications Director, leads the internship program and highlights how each edition is tailored to meet the evolving needs of the company, offering students a unique experience aligned with Paulson Puerto Rico’s challenges and goals.
“The students will be working on a key project that the company is actively evaluating for implementation. A dedicated committee will guide and support them to ensure their work is essential in the analysis and feasibility process, playing a crucial role in the project’s development before potential execution. This program is the result of teamwork and collaborative efforts across all of Paulson Puerto Rico’s portfolios, along with the commitment of the corporate team, who are actively involved in delivering a comprehensive experience for the interns,” explained Medina.
During the program, the interns will have the opportunity to explore all of Paulson Puerto Rico’s business portfolios. Rather than focusing on a single area, they will interact with leaders from each division of the company, gaining firsthand experience across diverse sectors including hospitality, real estate development, automotive, and office management. They will also collaborate and engage with senior executives of the group, including Nelson Colón, Chief Financial Officer; María Ligia Giraldéz, Chief Legal Counsel; Luis Brigantti, Corporate Director of Security & Operations; María Victoria Muñoz, Legal Operations Manager; Jean Philipe Beauchamp, Senior Financial Analyst; and María Ayala, Senior Accounting & Internal Controls Manager.
At the conclusion of the program, the students will present their findings and strategies to the executive team of Paulson Puerto Rico, solidifying their learning and directly contributing to the company’s success.
