Meet the Neighbors is an innovative culinary event organized by La Concha Resort that will take place on Thursday, August 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the stunning beachfront area of Solera restaurant. This exclusive event will feature the participation of renowned local chefs, who will offer an unparalleled gastronomic experience through various stations, giving attendees the opportunity to sample iconic dishes from each restaurant and interact with the chefs.
The concept, developed by Natalia Rivera, executive chef at La Concha Resort, will bring together a selection of well-known chefs who will showcase their talents at six culinary stations. This first edition will feature chefs from the Condado Collection: Gabriela Olivera from Tekka Bar, pastry chef Jhonier Dilan Mora from La Concha, Johelis Gotay from Solera, Alejandro Alicea from Ola, Nelson López from Tacos & Tequila, and Ramón Cruz from Social. They will be supported by chef Natalia Rivera and chef Juan José Cuevas from Condado Vanderbilt. The dessert station will be managed by Nasha Fondeur, executive pastry chef of the Condado Collection, while the beverage areas will offer an exclusive cocktail menu crafted for the occasion.
“Meet the Neighbors is an event open to the general public that celebrates the diversity and culinary excellence of San Juan,” commented Mike Rivera, general manager of La Concha Resort. “”In this first edition, on Thursday, August 29, we will start by showcasing the talents of our in-house chefs, and in future editions, we will invite renowned chefs from other areas, such as Condado, Santurce, Miramar, and Old San Juan.””
La Concha mixologists Ramón Acevedo and Manuel Porro have created four special cocktails for the event. White Summer is made with vodka, lemon juice, and spices, while Caribbean Samurai combines liquor with lychee flavors. Country Sunset features a single malt base with hints of coconut and chocolate. Finally, Ashford Mermaid is a cocktail designed to pair with main dishes, offering a smooth texture and citrus notes that enhance any palate.
The evening will feature live music, creating a tropical and festive atmosphere that complements the culinary experience. Attendees are invited to dress in resort-chic style to match the event’s setting and enjoy an elegant and tropical night. All guests will receive a welcome cocktail, along with a diverse selection of appetizers.
For a full experience, reservations can be made through OpenTable – Solera, with two package options: one that includes food and beverages (liquor, wine, and cocktails) or the food-only option. Prices start at $85.00 per person, excluding tips and taxes.
